EDMONTON STRATHCONA CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE LEN THOM WELCOMES THE LAUNCH OF THE 2015 FEDERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN
August 2, 2015

“Canadians will be making a serious choice between real-world experience and a dangerous economic approach that has failed before and is failing in other countries,” said Thom. “Our Conservative team in Edmonton Strathcona is working very hard to show voters what the Conservative party stands for. Canadians will make a choice about the direction of our country, one that will have serious consequences. Now is not the time for inexperienced governance or an unwillingness to act. I look forward to meeting voters and debating these issues.”

Thom, a lifelong resident of Edmonton Strathcona who practices family law in Old Strathcona, has been a community volunteer and a conservative political activist for more than three decades.

“A Conservative government will continue to deliver low taxes, strong support for families and seniors, safer streets and communities, and protection from rising national and international security threats,” Thom said. “An NDP or Liberal government will take Canada back to high taxes and spending, more deficits and debt, and economic and tax policies that will make it harder for families and seniors to make ends meet,” said Thom. “They will weaken the safety and security of Canadian families with irresponsible criminal justice policies and foreign policies that will leave Canada vulnerable to terrorism and aggression at home and abroad.”

“Thomas Mulcair, Justin Trudeau and Edmonton Strathcona NDP Linda Duncan are examples of the kind of inexperienced leadership that will be harmful for Canada at a time of global economic insecurity, particularly when it comes to supporting Alberta during the current international oil price slump.”
